Hello! Cliff here, from Zero Limit Web.

I just wanted to post a quick update about current changes to Google, and the importance of being mobile-friendly for your business and its rankings.

Quick stat: In 2015, 60% of all searches come from mobile devices.

Let that sink in.

Over HALF of people searching Google are on a mobile phone or tablet. To say that it’s important to have a mobile-friendly website is an understatement! Let me put it this way: If a visitor is attempting to visit your website from a mobile phone, and it’s not optimized for that device, they will simply move on from your website and onto your competitor’s website.

Google’s Mobile Algorithm Update

A few months ago, Google introduced an update to their ranking algorithm that effects whether or not your website will rank on mobile devices.  This means:

If you do not have a mobile-friendly site in place, your website will not be shown in the search results as expected.

Check Your Website With Google’s Mobile-Friendly Test

You can see if your website is already mobile friendly via the following link. Just enter your web address and let it show you the results: https://www.google.com/webmasters/tools/mobile-friendly/

If your test came back as not mobile-friendly, it’s important that we inform you of the following:

  1. Nobody wants to use a website that is simply hard to navigate on their device, let alone make a purchase or contact you about your services. Being mobile-friendly forces you to increase the usability of your website which converts into MORE SALES.
  2. Traffic is going the way of the mobile devices. There’s no denying it with 60% of users coming from phones and tablets. Google has taken notice of this in a big way!
  3. It’s not too late! You can use the services of a trusted design and marketing agency like Zero Limit Web to create a beautiful looking website just for mobile devices.

Don’t lose all the traffic and rankings to you fought so hard to get! Make sure you are optimized for mobile. You’ll continue to see increased traffic and sales and be happy you made the effort.

Cheers to increasing your online visibility!
